About Me

Audrey Morales is a poet and writer. Her poems have been published in JusteLiterary Magazine, Duck Duck Mongoose, Volition Literary Magazine, and Ghost Light Lit. She contributed to the Washington Post through American University's practicum course working alongside the Investigative Team.  

 

Morales is from Fairfax, Virginia, and earned her BA in English at George Mason University. At GMU, she received an “Excellence in Journalism” award in 2022 for a composite of academic and published articles. She was a columnist in GMU’s student newspaper, The Fourth Estate. She has extensive research and writing experience and uses those skills to become a better storyteller. 

 

In her free time when she is not reading or writing, she is baking artisan bread, cooking Peruvian dishes from her childhood, and watching the latest TV shows and movies.
