About Me

Audrey Morales is a poet and writer. She contributed to the Washington Post through American University's practicum course working alongside the Investigative Team. Her debut poem “Bonded” was published in 2022 in Volition Literary Magazine. 

 

Morales is from Fairfax, Virginia, and earned her undergraduate degree in English at George Mason University. At GMU, she received an “Excellence in Journalism” award in 2022 for a composite of academic and published articles. She was a columnist in GMU’s student newspaper, The Fourth Estate. She has extensive research and writing experience and uses those skills to become a better storyteller. 

 

In her free time when she is not reading or writing, she is baking artisan bread and binge-watching the latest TV shows.
